Kelli Louden, LCSW

Kelli is a lifelong learner who believes that education is a valued resource and commodity. Kelli has made higher education a priority to prepare her for her career in social work and education. Her extensive clinical training, education and work history has prepared her to work with diverse cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds across different age groups. Kelli is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has completed a second Master’s degree and certification program in Educational Leadership.

Kelli understands the value of staying informed and educated on the most recent practices and theories within her field. She regularly attends trainings, seminars and workshops and incorporates the best practices into her clinical work. Kelli utilizes her strong interpersonal and communication skills to create positive, safe and trusting environment for her clients. Kelli is very client focus and is sensitive to client’s diverse needs and backgrounds.

Kelli has worked in different clinical settings within the fields of social work and education. She has worked at the University of Chicago Hospitals as a medical social worker as well as Ingalls Hospital Hospice Unit. She has also worked in the public education as a school social worker. In her role as school social worker she has worked with students in the K-12 settings giving her extensive knowledge of developmental milestones from age five and beyond. Her educational setting has provided her unique experience in dealing with childhood trauma, students with special needs, cognitive and developmental delays. She has expertise in dealing with students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for social-emotional related issues. Kelli currently is a member on the Southland Initiative Partnership for Resilience, a Special Olympics assistant coach and mentors young future leaders through a school based mentoring program.

Kelli works with children, adolescent, adults and couples utilizing various therapeutic practices. Kelli has over 20 years of clinical experience in her field. She integrates different therapeutic approaches and techniques to help facilitate healing and change for her clients. Cognitive-behavioral therapy and insight-oriented techniques are used to aid and assist clients in achieving optimum success with changing thoughts, patterns and behaviors.
