Danielle Kowach, LCSW

Danielle M Kowach is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that provides therapy to individuals and families experiencing conflict. She has received a Master of Social Work from Governors State University.

Danielle has provided support and direct supervision to clinicians in the field of social work. Danielle believes the relationship between therapist and client is an integral part of the healing process. Through the implementation of individualized treatment plans and realistic goal setting. Danielle is dedicated to helping individuals develop strategies to manage stressors and improve their quality of life.

Danielle has worked with individuals and families in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient/outpatient, residential, and community based. Her practice style has been shaped by the people that she has had the opportunity to work along with. Danielle believes in enhancing individual strengths and capabilities to overcome barriers and improve relationship with self and others.  She has worked with individuals and families experiencing the effects of complex issues including divorce, sibling/parent conflict, adjustment and change. Danielle implements a variety of treatment approaches and interventions to reduce distress and improve ability to communicate feelings and navigate through crisis.  She also works with individuals to implement stress reduction and self-care to decrease the impact of life stressors and promote emotional wellness.

Danielle implements a strength based and trauma informed approach to treatment. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques to assist clients with recognizing strengths to overcome identified barriers. Danielle’s clinical focus is working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, stress related issues, relationship development, boundary setting, and self-care. Danielle works passionately to assist individuals with enhancing capabilities to overcome barriers and improve quality of life.
