Job Descriptions:

The Anxiety & Stress Center, P.C. is a multidisciplinary, diverse group practice with two immediate part-time independent contractor positions each of approximately 15 hours in the Homewood, IL office. We are looking for a child therapist and a generalist. Both positions have significant growth potential with full time possibility. The child therapist will work primarily after school hours, evenings, and weekends to accommodate children as young as five, adolescents and families. The generalist will provide services with an emphasis on the issues of adolescent and adult minority males, working primarily evenings with some daytime availability. Our base of consistent referrals is enhanced by strategic marketing. The Anxiety & Stress Center, P.C. has had a strong community presence since its establishment in 1992.  Billing, continued educational opportunities, and ongoing professional collaboration are provided.

Responsibilities:

Both therapists will provide assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a wide variety of disorders which may include, but are not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, stress management, behavioral problems (i.e. ADHD, acting out), loss, family transition, gender and sexual minority concerns, trauma/PTSD, and interpersonal issues. Multicultural sensitivity and competence is required to deliver quality treatment to our culturally, ethnically and socioeconomically diverse client population.  Coordination of services with other treating professionals and consultation with ancillary others (i.e. teachers, parents, physicians) is essential. Attendance at monthly staffing/consultation group provides clinical support and professional affiliation.

Qualifications:

We are seeking Licensed Clinical Psychologists, LCSWs or LCPCs who are looking to establish a long term private practice, work in a collaborative and supportive setting, and are committed to staying current with and incorporating new evidence-based treatments. The ideal candidates will have competence in CBT (or ACT), play therapy (child therapist), behavioral therapies, meditation/mindfulness and other forms of integrative therapies. Attention to administrative details (paperwork/charting, phone calls) and good interpersonal skills will be considered excellent assets.
