Job Description: The Anxiety & Stress Center, P.C. is a multidisciplinary group practice with an immediate part-time position for an independent contractor in the Homewood, IL office. The position is for work primarily in evenings and on Saturday (some daytime availability) and has significant growth potential. We are in need of a generalist who is able to provide psychotherapeutic services across the age span (adults, children, adolescents and families). We have a solid base of consistent referrals that is enhanced by strategic marketing. The Anxiety & Stress Center, P.C. has had a strong community presence since its establishment in 1992. Monthly staffing/consultation group provides clinical support and professional affiliation. Billing is provided and continued educational opportunities are available.
Responsibilities: The psychotherapist will provide assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a wide variety of disorders which may include, but is not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, stress, relationship issues, behavioral problems (i.e. ADHD) and issues specific to sexual and gender minorities. Multicultural sensitivity and competence is required to deliver quality treatment to our culturally, ethnically and socioeconomically diverse client population. Coordination of services with other treating professionals and consultation with ancillary others (i.e. teachers, parents) is essential.
Qualifications: We are seeking a licensed psychotherapist (licensed clinical psychologist, LCSW or LCPC) who is looking to establish a long term private practice, work in a collaborative and supportive setting, and has a commitment to stay current with and incorporate evidence-based treatments. The ideal candidate will have competence in CBT (or ACT), meditation/mindfulness and various forms of integrative therapies. Attention to administrative details (paperwork/charting, phone calls) and good interpersonal skills are excellent assets.
